The cabbage corer, shreder and salter
About the product
The cabbage corer, shredder and salter is designed for coring cabbages, shredding cored cabbage into strips and salting the strips. This production line features two corers, cabbage cutting machine and a salt spreader over the conveyor belt that transports shredded cabbage. Thanks to the special destalking head, the core is completely and easily removed.
No special processing of cabbage is required before cabbage destalking and cutting. In order to obtain the best results, it is recommendable to use cabbage heads, not larger than 300 millimeters in diameter.
This machine is designed in a way that operators that perform core extraction can place the cored cabbage into the cutting machine while remaining in the same position during this process.
The worker should turn the cabbage head, so that the core is set upwards and place the core on the ring that surrounds the conical knife shaft. By simply lifting the head up, the cabbage is cored and the operator places cored cabbage heads in the cutting machine. The infeed hopper guides cabbage during cutting without any additional adherence or applying pressure on the cabbage head. The capacity of the cutting machine is up to 6000 kilograms per hour, and the thickness of the shreds ranges from 2 to 10 mm, depending on the production needs. The output funnel directs the cabbage shreds to the conveyor.
The conveyor is designed to provide safe reception of the cabbage shreds after they exit the cutting machine and a reliable transport to the receiving vessel. A salt spreader is placed above the conveyor and it sprinkles salt evenly along the entire width. That, along with the constant speed of the belt, ensures uniform saltness of the cabbage shreds.
The machine is made of stainless steel and other materials whose permitted for use in the food industry. The cutting blades are made of special long life stainless steel.
